Under-Age Visitors

Standhabit is not aimed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13, or under 16 where that is the applicable age. We do not knowingly gather information from children, and anything of that kind that reaches us is deleted.

Data Lifespan and Security

Retention runs only as long as the original purpose. Once that ends — you unsubscribe, a comment is deleted, an analytics window closes — the data goes. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards including access restriction and transport encryption, while acknowledging that no system is immune to compromise.

What You Can Ask For

Whichever framework applies to you — UK/EU GDPR, California’s CCPA/CPRA, or another US state law — you can generally request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data, object to particular uses, and opt out of sale or sharing for advertising. There is one niche-specific commitment behind this policy — we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.
